Paw Paw River Campground and Canoes supports the River Rescue proposal in the Black & Paw Paw River Watersheds to the Great Lakes Commission. Along with other organizations and municipalities, we look forward to working to improve the quality and vitality of local creeks, stream banks and the health and biodiversity of critical wildlife populations and habitats. We show our support of the efforts of the Van Buren Conservation District and their partners by promoting the litter pickup and prevention event which is intended to protect the health and serenity of our local waterways and improve and restore Southwest Michigan's natural resources. We partner in this project and strongly urge the Great Lakes Commission to approve the grant application.

On Saturday, August 7th, 9am to 1pm, various sites across Van Buren County and into Berrien County will be volunteering for environmental health, wildlife habitat and a better community. Paw Paw River Campground and Canoes has volunteered to help clean up our waterways by disposing of the trash collected by the paddle groups traveling from Hartford to our Campgrounds.
